Pirate gangs of the High Tortuga campaign
Pirates gangs come in many sizes & motivations.  Here is a sample of currently
operating pirates
THE HOUSE OF LORDS
The House of Lords is led by Captain Sir Bette Noire, an ex-Imperial Navy officer &
hero of the Fifth Frontier War.   From an early age Bette was inspired by her idol,
Admiral Aes Ryoko Aani, Queen of the Liberty Hall pirates & seeks to become Aani's
spiritual daughter.  Her nickname Onihime(or Aanemikh Aani in vilani) comes from
the Die Weltbundters, who named the Teufelprinzessin (devil princess) in the
mistaken belief she is their old nemesis's child.

The Lords engage in a variety of work on both sides of the law, piracy, privateering,
smuggling, blockade running, & mercenary work.   She is also engage in a long term
feud against her uncle Douglas McKimmon, Tuablin, & Die Weltbund.  Her work in
combating the slave trade in the region has made her a hero on numerous planets.
A Mikuum priestess, she often assumes that guise in  smuggling operations. It is
rumored that her childhood religious training included psionics training on Lilith.
There has been no reliable confirmation of these hypothesis.

Most of the House of Lords members are either ex-Imperial navy who followed Bette
when she deserted or free traders who joined up for various reasons. Just prior to the
Nervenheilstalt conflict, the group enjoyed an influx of Die Weltbund naval &
merchant deserters-many of whom were natives of Nervenheilanstalt.  The ethnic
makeup of the Lords is varied:  Human, Darrian, Aslan, Vargyr, Poicxh, & Toishani,
making them a very colorful group.

The Lords have a tradition of providing for orphans & children rescued from
slavers(& other pirates).  When possible, the Lords try to reunite children with their
families.  When thats not possible, members of the group adopt or provide for the
children.

The House of Lords tends to use disguise & deception to mask their appearance &
activities on raids.  However three basic techniques form the group's MO.  Use of ship
to ship communication to hack into the ship's computer & take it down that way.
Secondly, the use of deception (false ID's,  electronic deception, etc.) to pose as a unit
of the local system navy.  Thirdly assault starting with jamming sensors & commos
followed by a warning on a closed link to stand down & surrender or face weapons
fire. If the victim fails to surrender in the given time or an energy surge (weapons,
engine, etc.) is detected, weapons fire is initiated targeting the jump drive to prevent
escape.  Though she tries to avoid needless bloodshed, Bette will strike fast & hard to
end resistance quickly.  Boarding parties, even on surrendered ships go heavily armed.
Bette's preferred weapons being gauss deck wreckers, shotguns loaded with HE, RAM
grenade launchers, & gauss SMG's.  

Another feature of the House of Lords is the use of fighter craft for scouting & attack.
A technique now limited without a vessel large enough to launch & service a
squadron.

The group is also well fixed  with grav APC's & AFV's for ground operations.  
Tactical training is handling by Khea(see Rogues Gallery), Bette's Aslan 1st officer,
an ex-Imperial Army officer.

The Lords, like many free trader dominated pirates due not target free traders, seeing
them as allies, or in some cases, relations.

Preferential targets of raids are Stern-Hansa, Parallel Lines (even though Bette is
friends with one of the stockholders), Tuablin(& its many alias), LOFWIA, & any
pirate she deems fit to punish. In particular, her uncle 'Black Dog' McKimmon fall
under the latter foe.  That conflict has about even with Bette's superior tactical skill
& better electronic warfare personnel(many of which are Poicxh) given her the edge.

The Lords have Letters of Marque from Lilith, St. Foy, Guildheim, Liberty Hall; &
Letters of Reprisal from Baron Manfred von Beck.  During the Nervenheilanstalt
conflict the Lords held commisions in the von Beck Reitersquadron; with Bette as
Vice-Admiral & her captains as Kapitan.

After her year long imprisonment and/or  false rumors of her demise by the Trelyn
Domain, the group fell apart.  A few remained in the Liberty Hall/Maprepire
subsectors the rest died as mercs in the Gorian/Aslan conflict in the Trojan Reaches.
Ships lost to the Gorian conflict was the Viper class escorts Aiis Deluria & Thea
Mata, the Fenris class carrier Coraascesu, & the Broadsword class Kimohi.

Rescued by her lieutenants (secretly aided by Imperial agents) & mercs, she is
rebuilding the House of Lords.  Strong in ships, she is short of personnel due to being
listed as a 'hazard' by her Dark Goddesses superiors.  Despite this personnel shortage,
she has turned down the offer of her orphaned wards to crews her ships.  She also has
acquired an scout base in an abandoned & 'dead' system orbiting & on the planet she
has named Tortuga after an ancient pirate stronghold.

Unknown to Bette, her  easy desertion from the Imperial Navy & subsequent corsair
career has been a carefully orchestrated part of Darkling Orb's use of pirates as
catspaws for an overstretched Imperium.

crewed except for extra pilots for the scoutships.

AMAKASH GANG
Led by ex-belter Makasan Amakash, the gang  specilizies in hijacking & barratry.  
Instellar nomads they drift & operate though the Mapepire, Delta, Liberty Hall, Metchi'
Alagwa subsectors in the Beyond & Harem subsector in Foreven.  constantly changing
appearances,  ships & systems with no discernable pattern.  Besides a core group
(rumored to be 8-15 people) their take on additional, expediable personnel as needed
who often take the fall for the real gang.  

They prey equally on the ships of all nations, disdaining free traders only because they
don't have much to steal except the ship.  Despite their origins, they like also to hit
belter operations(large or small) since they can be rich target & not well protected.

Makasan believes in the adage: 'Dead men tell no tales'.  Often he plays a game with the
crew & passengers making them think they are safe until he gives the order to kill. If the
gang wasn't so skilled at covering their tracks they would probably have one of the
biggest bounties in the Beyond.

MAKASAN AMAKASH:  UPP: A79B55.  Male Belter.  Age  44?    6' 4" tall.

His face a smiling mask that conceals his emotions, Makasan is sly, deceitful, greedy &
amoral.  He has no loyalties & will deal or steal from anyone without remorse. His
favorite weapon is a dual-purpose laser pistol.

SARDO MILOTO:  UPP:  8C9846.  Male Rogue.   Age 38.  5.8" tall.

Makasan's lieutenant, is an exile from Trayfowen, where his hacking skills busted two  
casinos. A coldhearted & sadistic manipulator of people & machines, he is an
invaluable & longterm member of the gang.  His favorite weapon is the blade, of which
he has a substantial collection.  The prize of his collection is are two. The first,  gold,
emerald encrusted blade he took off the body of Lord Stefan Tehivor, a Beaufort Lines
captain who ship he hijacked. The  second he took off Sgt. Stefan Kiron, a retired
Imperial Marine he rolled on the casino planet Trayfowen.  That blade is engraved with
the Sgt.'s name & the Marine starburst.

HANNA TESCH:  UPP:  7BB766.  Female Pirate.  Age 32.  5' 4" tall

The engineering specialist,  cheerful, reckless Hanna dresses & passes as a teenager,
playing the easily seduced airhead, the willful rich kid or the wild urchin with equal
zest, ever pushing the edge.  Though she carries a laser ring on her right index finger,
her preferred weapons are explosives.  She often kill people by giving them presents with
concealed explosives.

NUIREEN DASON:  UPP:  B8A668.  Male Pirate.  Age 38.  6' 3 tall.
SKILLS:  PISTOL-2, BRAWLING-3, SHIP'S BOAT-1, GUNNERY-1, COMMO-1,
VACC SUIT-1.
The brawn of the operation, Nuireen plays at bounty hunter, law officer, merc, or
marine with equal skill.  Taciturn & aloof, he can be scary or comforting depending on
the operation.  Though completely amoral, he oddly feels pity for his victims after an
operation is finished.  His preferred weapons are autopistols & armored gloves(adds 1
D6 to damage when used)  which he punches opponents.  Of the Amakash Gang
regulars, he is the most human.
IIKHAN TRIAD
Iikhan Triad are are specialists, operating alone or working on a percentage basis for
other pirate bands. Their  members hail from St. Foy & were trained as  a Psionic
Assault Squad (PAS) at St. Foy's psionic institute.  The gang formed in 1121 after the
members became disillusioned with the current Duke of St. Foy's political policies.  The
triad exist as a co-equal partnership in the business & spiritual sense. Their serpent
class scoutship, the Iikhan is manned entirely by robots, psionically controlled.  
Though pirates, they have known to do jobs for altruistic groups such as the League of
Sophonts(LOS).  Their exceptional, unforgettable  beauty makes the triad go masked or
disguised.  The triad are rumored to have two children hidden on Lilith/Mapepire.

RANAROU  MUNIT:  UPP  A89784.  Male Marine.  Age 34   6'1" tall.  Short, red hair,
bronzed, muscular body.  Red eyes.  3 ruby earstuds in each ear.

PSIONICS:  LEVEL 9 TELEPATH.  15 psionic points.
Former Captain Ranarou is the heart & soul of the triad, having lead them for years as
a unit in the St. Foy Navy.   A natural leader who looks out for his people, he is brave,
noble & very sneaky.  Taciturn& quiet by nature, he has an incredible sense of justice &
honor.  This honor lead him to resign his commission after former Vice-Admiral Rei St.
Foy was convicted on false charges of treason.  After her escape aboard an Imperial
vessel, the Duke of St. declared Ranarou & his two compatriots traitors, posting a
150,000 Cr. bounty on each of their heads.  Favorite weapons are cutlass & laser rings,
the latter of which he has been known to wear three to five of.

SANA DES URKUIN: UPP  8B777A.  Female Marine.  Age 32.  6' tall.  Long
silver/white hair, worn in braids aboard ship, worn loose otherwise.  Violet eyes.   lithe,
bronzed athletic body.  Silver & onyx earcuffs in the shape of cats on each ear.

DAGGER-1, VACC SUIT-1, MEDICAL-1
PSIONICS: LEVEL 9 CLAIRVOYANT.  15 psionic points.
Flashy, feline  & sensual, the charismatic Sana is a member of the Des Urkuin Noble
House of St. Foy.  A skilled pilot, she also competes in gravboarding & has the
distinction of having beaten Bette Noire in a race.  Because of her noble upbringing,
Sana acts as the contact person for the group.  Her favorite weapons a snub pistol & a
sleevegun worn on her left arm.

BERYL RYN DHOST:  UPP:  9C6A96.  Female Marine.  Age 36.  5'9" tall.  Muscular
bronzed body.  Blue eyes.  Short, auburn hair.

MECHANICAL-1, CUTLASS-2, ROBOTICS-1.
PSIONICS:  LEVEL 9 TELEPORTER.  18 psionic points.
Steady, cheerful, fiery & charitable, Beryl is also the most dangerous of the triad in
combat-and the least likely to give quarter.  Though muscular, she rivals Sana in looks
& reflexes.   Her favorite weapon is the Macer rotary gauss gun(aka the Deck Wrecker).
THE BLACK FANG
THE GEIER GRUPPE
After the end of the Nervenheilenstalt War, the Die Weltbund Grand Navy squadron was ordered
to retire to Schloss Adler & face courtmartial proceedings.  Part of the squadron (2 destroyers, 3
scoutships & an armed transport) under Helmuth Geier disobeyed orders & fled to St. Foy.  
Trading one of the destroyers for sanctuary, Geier refitted his units for commerce raiding &
turned pirate.  With the protection of the Duke of St. Foy, Geier raids up and down the Liberty
Hall & Die Weltbund subsectors sparing only St. Foy registered or allied ships.  Ironically,
though, he still makes a profit from seizing crews from merchant ships & selling them to  
Tuablin, Inc(who in turns sells them to Stern-Hansa)The bounties on him include 1M Cr. from
Beaufort Lines, 2M Cr. from the Razas of Guildheim, 3M Cr. from Stern-Hansa, & 4M Cr. from
the government of Die Weltbund.  The DW Grand has a bounty of 25 M Cr. for the recovery of
the destroyer he defected with. He has a grudge against Bette  Noire dating from the
Nervenheilanstalt War and is planning to take advantage of the breakup of the House of Lords
to eradicate her from space.

HELMUTH GEIER:  UPP 989A85.  Male Navy.  Age 35. Short blonde hair, muscular, slightly
paunchy tanned body.  Blue eyes.

CUTLASS-2, NAVIGATION-1, BRIBERY-1.
Ruthless, sadistic, dissolute, & brave, Geier is product of the corruption in the Die Weltbund
navy stationed in the Liberty Hall subsector.  On the fast track as a protege of Admiral Manfred
Schreck, Helmuth had a small fortune in graft, extortion, & slavetrading. His fortunes fell with
the death & defeat of Schreck in the Nervenheilanstalt & the resultant purge by Grand Admiral
von Wessel.  Apolitical, he has thrown himself into his new life with wild abandon.  Though
other than preying on his former nation his activities hasn't really changed.   He tends to favor
the Asjery Arms Model 44 Gauss Machine pistol, wearing two of them at all times.

Schreck's Revenge.   800 tonne SZ12 Class destroyer.  800 Tonnes.   Jump-4, 6G Acceleration,
Agility 4.
          Model 2 computer.
 Armament:  2 PAW barbutes, mounted in the bow firing as a battery.   4 triple laser turrets
                     mounted centrally, dorsal, starboard, ventral, & port.  2 triple missile turrets
                     mounted stern, starboard & port.   60 missile magazine.
Defenses:      Armoured Hull-factor 5.    TL11 Nuclear damper.
Vehicles:       2 30 tonne ship's boats, armed with 1 pulse laser.  1 30 tonne assualt boat
                    armed with pulse laser & 8 missile launch tubes.  2 G-Carriers armed with
                    two 20mm cannons in dorsal turret mount.
Cargo:          50 tonnes.
Crew:            5 Officers,   30 ratings.    40 marines.
KETTER CROSS GANG
The Ketter Cross Gang is an example of the small-time operator, most which have a very short
career.  Led by Arvid Sang Tylos, a native of Abyss/Liberty Hall.  The name of the gang comes
from the name of his ship; which incidently is the name of the village Arvid hails from.  The
current Ketter Cross, a 200 tonne free trader is the 7th ship of that name.  Usually M.O. is to
hit small landbased targets either from space or more often ground based sneak attacks. The
gang usually hits soft targets with not much to fight with & usually not much to steal.  
However back home, his loot is priceless & he is regarded as a hero. Careful & cautious, Arvid
usually retreats if he meets heavy resistance; which isn't often due to his careful planning.  Of
late, the gang's main profit comes from slave raiding or kidnapping; the latter usually under
direction of a larger criminal organization.  Aside from their captain, the bounties on the rest
of the crew come to 122,000 Cr.

ARVID SANG TYLOS:  UPP:   A87A67.  Human Male  Pirate.  Age 28.  Medium length red
hair worn tied in ponytail.  Grey eyes. 6' 3" tall.  Stocky, muscular lightly tanned body.  Eagle
tatooed across back & shoulders.
SKILLS:  LEADER-1, PILOT-1, NAVIGATION-1, COMPUTER-1, SMG-2, VACC SUIT-1,
TACTICS-1, BLADE-1, LASER-1.
Amoral & cold, Arvid can be quite charming.  His favorite weapon is the SMG, carrying a
standard 60 round weapon on a shoulder strap & an 22 round hideout SMG in a shoulder
holster.

ANTILLA DOS DUKON:  UPP:  7b6996.  Human Female Pirate.  Age 26.  Short, ash blonde
hair.  4 earrings in each ear.  Serpent tatoo wrapped around upper right arm.  5' 6" tall.  
Slender, golden-tanned body.
SKILLS: ENGINEERING-2, COMPUTER-1, CUTLASS-1, LASER-2, ELECTRONICS-1,
MECHANI CAL-1 ROBOTICS-1.
Antilla is Arvid's lieutenant.  A cold but cruel psychopath, she is disdainful of her fellow
sophonts.  Her favorite weapon is the laser  rifle & laser pistol.  She also carries a laser torch
with which she indulges her sadistic streak on victims.

Ketter Cross.   200 Tonnes.   Jump 2.   2G Acceleration.  Agility 3.   Model 2bis computer.
Armament:   2 triple laser turrets 1 starboard & 1 port sides firing as 2 batteries.
                  Concealed triple launch tubes mounted ventral.   36 missile magazines.
Defenses:      None.
Vehicles:      2 10 lifepods.   3 G-Carriers, 2 armed with 2 heavy MG's & 1 6 tube  
                   MRL, 1   armed with 2 heavy MG's & pulse laser.
Cargo:         40 tonnes of cargo space.
Crew:           2 Officers &  24 crew.
Passengers:   20 in low berth.
Led by the saturnine Douglas Angland 'Black Dog' McKimmon, the Black Fang is the terror of the
coreward Beyond subsectors.  Originally stationed in the Beyond as part of the Imperium's Darkling
Orb operation,  McKimmon broke with the Imperium & fled to the protection of the Duchy of St. Foy.  
To escape the Imperium he moved his operations to the Trojan Reaches  from 1110-1112.   Returning
to the Liberty Hall subsector with a fleet of 4 ships in 1113, he made Qat in the Delta subsector of the
Beyond.  Recruiting heavily among the Vargyr population (much which are either transport prisoners
or their descendants), Black Dog has built his band into a formidable force, In his quest to gain alien
artifacts his ultimate goal is the 579-939 system with its ancient artifacts.  To this goal he has
eliminated his brothers (the custodians of the system) & obtained their knowledge.  This has proven a
hollow victory on two accounts.  The first is killing his last brother while he was a guest of the Duke
of St. Foy,  This has resulted in his permanment banishment from the St. Foy system.  Secondly, while
dealing with the St. Foy authorities, his precious data was stolen by his niece & enemy Bette Noire.  
With this information, Bette was able to beat him to 579-939 & take possession.  Retreating to Qat, he
is nursing his pride & gathering strength.
A ruthless & able captain, Black Dog is fanatically independent, a trait he shares with most of his
Vargyr corsairs.  Though not sadistic, he is unforgiving to victims who resist, killing most out of
hand.  For those who really get on his bad side he subjects to McKimming.  This is locking victim
without a vacc suit in an airlock destroying the controls that open the inner lock door.  The victim is
left there with no food, no water, & is given the choiee between a slow death by starvation &
dehydration or opening the outer airlock for a quick & painful death.
McKimmon  wears black gear with a stylized Vargyr's head for a helmet.  He has made this mandatory
for the human members of his crew.  Capt. McKimmon will often leave his 'black fang' logo at the
scene of his crimes to strike home terror in the hearts of his victims (or prospective victims).
Currently, Black Dog's fleet consists of three corsair plus whatever independents (usually Vargyr) who
join up for raids.  Black Dog holds nor desires any letters of Marque, raiding anyone who has anything
worth stealing.  He has in the past been hired for jobs by Tuablin & other criminal syndicates, or by
governments(such as Die Weltbund, where he has sanctuary), always with his best interests first.  
Often he will doublescross a partner or patron if there is profit or self-interest to be had.  For this
reason, even LOFWIA despises him and has him on their black list.  
Though tolerant towards the eccentricities of his subordinates, that tolerance ends when those quirks
endanger his operations.  He considers Capt. Marhax's recent purge as a possible sign of paranoia. If
he feels Marhax is becoming a threat to his control, McKimmon will replace him with a more stable
commander.

fur with red streaks.  Laser scar on right hip.  Four earrings in each ear.

Dog kept her after her ransom was paid.  Since then he has indoctrinated & moulded her into what
can be best described as 'Bette Noire' raised by wolves.   Perversely, she has grown a strong attachment
to McKimmon & is now his most trusted human lieutenant aboard the 'Mistress of Pain'.  She
commands the fighter squadron aboard the 'Mistress'.  Her main weakness is that her captain's
fixation with Bette has infected Girolina.  Her fascination with her master's enemy is fast becoming a
fetish, copying her mannerisms, collecting visuals of Bette, & even items once worn or possessed by
Bette. Her favorite weapons are the gauss SMG & the cutlass, the latter weapon she would like Bette
woman to woman, fighting on grav boards.  She has a distinctive speech pattern due to her ordeal, a

THE STORMRIDERS
Former members  of the League of Free Worlds Insurgent Army, the Stormriders are descendants
of the original colonists sent out by Liberty Hall in 676. The system is officially declared
unpopulated,  a contested zone between Die Weltbund, LOFW, & St. Foy.  The Stormriders prey
chiefly on Die Weltbund ships & property; & giving their excess, nonessential loot to the
surviving settlers of the Jeldemnar system..  This make them at odds with most of the LOFWIA,
many who have become indiscriminate in their targets or the paid killer for criminal
organizations.  Their name derived from the nickname they  received from the Die
Weltbunders('Sturmreiters") for their tactics of attacking & disappearing into Jeldemnar's gas
giant.  Their ships are mixture of scoutships except for their main raider, the 'Retaliation'.  This
vessel is a 1000 tonne nickel-iron asteroid.  The Stormriders besides carrying Letters of Reprisal
from the phantom government of Jeldemnar carry Letters of Marque from  Liberty Hall,
Guildheim & St. Foy.  Recently the Stormriders have begun raiding into the Die Weltbund
sector, taking several small ships.

The 'Iire Fortuna' is a 250  year old free trader that plies the shipping lanes from Harem,
Mapepire, Liberty Hall, Delta, & Die Weltbund subsectors.  Like many free traders, they live in a
gray area where the fine line between trader & pirate is very, very blurry.  Their main cash cow is
smuggling proscribed items in & out of Die Weltbund territory.  Operating through careful
planning & stealth, the group tries to avoid conflict.  But if cornered, they will fight, & fight
well.  They have no permanent port & operate under various names & licenses.

As most free trader corsair they refrain from attacking free trader ships.  On the other hand, they
take delight in 'liberating' pirated or confiscated free traders.  They have a special dislike for
Stern-Hansa & the Die Weltbund Grand Navy.  They have occasionally worked with the House
of Lords, especially in the Nervenheilanstalt War where they handled smuggling operations.

as 1D6 +1 for damage) when he has the time.  Otherwise he employs a hypogun loaded with acid
point rounds.

operator who is almost as deadly as her husband, Oleg.

acid point of HEAP rounds.

DEIAS  MAGHIZ
The Deias Maghiz is a group of Dark Goddesses pirates operating in the Liberty Hall subsector.
The gang is built up of 3 assault boats (1 100 tonne, 2 50 tonne) operating out of a 1000 tonne
X-Boat used as a mothership, also called Deias Maghiz.  A small group they normally use war &
security  robots as part of their operations; though on occasion they will recruit ground fighters.  
They are also unusually for pirates in that they have a working relationship with an Imperial
front organization, Phoenix Couriers(they also hold 8% of Pheonix stock), often taking jobs,
acting as a relay point, or a refueling base. Deias Maghiz also have two associated Dark
Goddesses 100 tonne Serpent Class scoutships; the Wailing Spirit ( Capt. Desiree Maya Li, also a
pilot for Phoenix Couriers) & the Spendthrift ( Capt. Agra Ariel Juliott).  The ship bay of the
Deias can handle 600 tonnes of ship with bay doors closed & even larger ships with bay doors
open.  This allows the mothership to transport another vessel at Jump-1, though normally
captures are usually operated by prize crews (with any needed drive repairs down in the ship
bay).   The Deias Maghiz normally runs a nomadic circuit through the Liberty Hall subsector
from Guildheim to St.  Foy, taking on jobs as they come & gathering & delivering information.  
In the current standoff between St. Foy & Guildheim, they have very quietly decided to side with
the Razas of Guildheim, especially since the Guildheim system is their major refit center.  
Despite Bette Noire's 'Hazard' status, they have chosen to kept in touch with the House of Lords
& share information.

Sola comes from a long line of Dark Goddesses pirates.  Affable, charismatic & friendly-in battle
she is a cold, calculating warrior who manuvers to stack the odds in her favor.  In space combat,
her preferred method is electronic warfare to neutralize or seize an enemy ship.  Onb land, she
manuvers to isolate enemy units & destroy them piecemeal in overwhelming assaults, grab the
loot & escape before pursuit or counter-attack can be mounted.  Sola has an intense dislike of
needless killing of both her crew & merchant crew of her victims.  However, she is not so
charitable of military opponents - though usually this means Die Weltbunders, her usual
opponents who have an earned reputation for ruthlessness.  Her prefers dark blue clothing
usually jumpsuits & jackets-most of which are looted from Die Weltbund naval & marine sources.
In combat she prefers wearing battledress or musclesuits to offset her low strength & endurance.
Favorite weapons are twin gauss SMG's which wears on either hip in holsters.

Appearnace:  5'7"  tall.  Medium length silver blonde hair tied in a ponytail.  Red eyes. Slender

A second generation Black Goddesses pirate, Roz's ancestors came from one of the Darrian lost
colonies in the Harem subsector.  An original member of the Deias Maghiz, she is the chief pilot
& Sola's 1st lieutenant.  Intense, ruthless & spartan on the job; she cuts loose onplanet.  Her
darrian metabolism allowing her to drink almost anyone under the table.  Her favorite weapon is
a plasma sword, an ancient heirloom of her family.  Her normal shipwear is blue Imperial Scout
Service jumpsuits with a bright yellow beret.  Dislikes walking so usually drives a grav speeder or
cycle or wears a grav belt.  Despite that, she is an excellent condition due to her daily workout
routine.  Roz is also the main pilot for the Forlorn Hope.

specialist, she is bright, hyperactive & extremely, extremely loyal to Sola.  Ayluh pushes the
envelope in anything she pursues, whether for play or profit.  Tends to get along with everyone
on the Deias but is very close to Sola & Sura Kari Kenn.  Outside her shipmates, she tends to
distrust others & has few friends outside the crew.  Her relationships tend towards one night
stands, whether aslan or human.

reason she is extremely loyal to DG & her crewmates, especially to Ayluh who rescued her on
Hardass 8 years ago.  This loyalty increases the difficulty of anyone interrogating her (even with
drugs & torture) by +3.

Vary calm, cool, & sardonic, the ship's doctor is a former Imperial Marine who left the service
after the 5th Frontier War to pursue a gambling career.  A compulsive gambler, she fled to the
Beyond to escape massive gambling debts.  Joining Dark Goddesses she was cured of her
compulsions, but still gamblings as a social icebreaker & as part of information gathering.
Often, she will carefully lose to cozy up to a potential victim or source of information. Her usually
planetside wear is a tight fitting yellow carapace jumpsuit with red trim, over which she wears
various multicolored capes.  On board the Deias she tends to wear a marine jumpsuit over a vacc
skin.  In combat, she prefers flexarmor.  Her favorite weapon is a hypogun, usually worn in a
shoulder holster though in combat she prefers a shotgun.  Due to marine crosstraining, she is
trained in the use of plasma & fusion rifles.  Occasionally replaces her close friend Kari as pilot
of the Firecat.

upgraded, she is considered the 'Ice Queen' by her associates, she can be very passionate with the
right person (always someone the complete opposite to her personality & usually some innocent),
but always out of sight of her mates.

Compassionate & friendly , Rursga is a good friend & a bad enemy.  The eldest daughter of
Baron Vhurguaf Aggaru d'Ashti of Vlad,  she is the descendant of Vargyrs deported by the
Imperium to the Vargyr Reach two centuries ago.  One of her young twin sisters serves with the
House of Lords.  Despite her upbringing, she is compassionate towards children & the
unfortunate, a passion that leaves her short of cash.  She is the backup engineer for Tosi with
whom she competes furiously with in dressing in fancy & flashy clothes.  Her favorite weapon is
the blade  & her blade has a spike in the pommel & when as a basket hilt studded with spikes.

Maria is one of the gunners & the tank specialist in the crew. She is from the  Nervenheilanstalt,
a planet controlled by Die Weltbund.    4 years ago she was ordered bombarded a what turned out
to be an orphanage, killing everyone in it.  As a result, she became cynical of officers &
governments & deserted Die Weltbund's navy.  Her current loyalty is to Capt. Antemor, mostly
because she finds her a leader finally worth following, & partly because the crew doesn't hate
her  for once being a Die Weltbunder.  These factors push her to constantly prove herself worthy
of the crew's trust. Her favorite weapon is the 4-barrelled Macer rotary gauss gun.   Though
cynically & morose, when drunk she becomes very cheerful & easy to manipulate.

Short & slender, Kari looks more like a dancer than a pirate.  Cold & calculating, she has little
time for fools or idle chatter.  What few lovers she takes are based on their intelligence &
money(in that order).  She is another gunner & the Grav APC specialist on planetside capers.
Favorite weapon is an autoshot gun loaded with HE (high explosive) rounds.  She joined Dark
Goddesses after being left for dead after a Tuablin slave on her planet.   She lives to make
Tuablin regret leaving her alive, often spacing slavers in their underwear.  Despite her cold
nature she & the prankster Megs are the best of friends.  Casual wear for her is flex armor over
which she wears baggy, bright colored pants & jackets topped by a white beret with red& green
feathers.  Besides the APC, she pilots the Firecat, & occasionally, the Forlorn Hope.

Gregarious & a practical joker, Megs is the live wire in the crew, constantly keeping their spirits
up.  She also good friends with Captain Deron Cortez of the Maladroit Geste with whom she
competes in wild practical jokes conests when they meet. In combat her favorite weapons are
twin, special-built SMG's with builtin silencers.  On planetside operations she drives a grav cycle
with a laser rifle (100 shots) & a special built holster that holds her plasma bazooka & 6 spare
loads.  Good friends with Sura Kari Kenn whom she is also trying to loosen up.
